AUSTIN — Capital Metro is getting ready to roll out its new fleet of 22 Metro Rapid buses.
“They are so quiet, and they turn so perfect,” said Frank.
The new “bendy buses” are 60 feet long and hold 101 passengers. Regular buses have a capacity of 50 60 people. Frequent rider Jennifer Burnell says those buses get packed.
“People have to stand up every time,” said Burnell.
You’ll see the buses on the road in field tests from 4:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, covering the entire 21-mile length of the first route. It will run for the public starting Jan. 26. More info
