Accusing the Congress-led Delhi government of failing to provide good public transport in Delhi, BJP’s chief ministerial candidate, Harsh Vardhan, on Monday claimed his party has radical plans to transform Delhi’s transportation system.
“Our government’s primary objective will be to ensure that a safe, reliable, and cost-effectivepublic transport system is available to every citizen of Delhi. Public transport will be so attractive that people will stop using their cars, scooters and bikes,” he said.
The plans he shared did not sound radical, though—an extension of the Metro, introduction of low-floor buses, increasing the number of feeder buses, and mono rail. More info
